Washing the dishes

My back is curved
pushes my head forward
so I always look down
Bent over for hours at a time
at a sink too low
washing, always washing

I'm permanently disabled
walk bent over
watch my shoes run down
A terrible disfigurement

I shine with shameful neglect
All from washing the dishes
